Who we are

TeachingBuddy is a project operated in Australia (“TeachingBuddy”, “we”, “us”). You can contact us through the enquiry form. We are responsible for the personal information described below.

What this page covers

TeachingBuddy is not open to the public yet. This policy covers this website and the enquiry form on it. A fuller policy covering the product itself will replace this one at launch.

What we collect through the enquiry form

The form is for organisations. If you fill it in, we collect what you type:

When you send the form, your browser also sends the web address of the page you sent it from. The form service may also record technical details such as your IP address, browser type, the website address you came from and the time you sent the form.

Please don’t put sensitive personal information in the message box.

Why we use it

We collect this information because you chose to send it, and you tick a box to agree to be contacted before you send the form. We use it only for the purposes above.

Who handles it

Enquiries are received through Formspree, an online form service. Formspree passes each enquiry to us by email. It also keeps a copy of the submission in our account for 30 days on our current plan. Formspree may use other service providers to help run its service. You can read Formspree’s privacy policy.

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Formspree is a United States company and uses technical infrastructure in the United States, and Cloudflare runs servers in many countries. Your information may therefore be stored or handled outside Australia, including in the United States. We do not sell your data.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set tracking cookies and does not use advertising or analytics trackers. If that changes, we will update this page first.

How long we keep it

Formspree keeps the submission history in our account for 30 days. It may keep other records, such as security logs, for longer under its own privacy policy. We keep our own copy of an enquiry for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, then delete it. If we start working together, we will explain how we handle your data in our agreement with you.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. To do this, send a new message through the enquiry form and say what you would like. If you are not happy with our answer, you may be able to complain to your local privacy regulator. In Australia, this is the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (www.oaic.gov.au).

Changes

We will update this page when things change and show the date at the top.
